Mobile WWE wrestling app

WWE 2K is the wrestling game series produced by the company 2K, and this is the free mobile version of the game. It takes the console-based version and puts it into a stripped version where you can use some of your favorite wrestlers to combat each other or create your wrestler to rise to the top of the ranking in the career mode.

Wrestling is still cool

This WWE game has been around for awhile, having been developed in 2015. As of recently, it has not gotten any further updates and largely has been ignored in the continued development of 2K games, unfortunately.

For its age, it did do a good job and remains relevant. Even today, compared to other wrestling games like Wrestling Revolution 3D, it has a solid graphics system. Also, even though the company no longer supports the game, it plays on most Android platforms.

One of the main problems of it not being supported is that the newer WWE Superstars are not in the game. Also, for some reason, the Divas are not included in the game, which is unfortunate. Finally, they don’t have many of the WWE match types, like Royal Rumble.

Graphics, design, and build

Because it is a mobile game, you don’t come expecting amazing graphics; despite this, 2K does a good job in this game available for APK download. The wrestlers' designs are pretty good. However, if you are creating your own, the basic build will stay the same all the way through.

This is probably the final version of the game to be released, so don’t expect any improvements in the future. Even so, the interface is well done and everything looks as real to life as you can get in a mobile game.

The graphics are not going to take a heavy toll on your SD card, thankfully. As it is an old game, it will have some bugs when running certain of the newer versions of Android, but unfortunately, players can’t expect any bug fixes.

How do you do moves in WWE 2K?

One of the most confusing and difficult parts introduced in the game is the complicated control system. Puzzling though it may be, it is a good system for a touch screen once you finally get the hang of it. Other wrestling games have done better with control pads, but this take decides to stick to just touchscreen.

Basically, tapping is for punching which is quite easy. It gets difficult when you have to pinch to grapple. Okay, a bit harder, how do you even pinch on a phone screen? Swiping the screen will allow you to run, climb, or throw your opponent.

For special moves, the game will display precisely what you need to do. Unfortunately, in combat, it occasionally bugs out, and the system won’t respond speedily, causing a loss. Another issue is the combat can become quite repetitive and more of a slugfest than a proper match.

Modes available

Although the game lacks a variety of modes, it does have career, No DQ (anything goes), ladder matches, and multiplayer. Of all of these, the career option is probably the most interesting; you can create your own player to win the title.

There is a major lack of cohesive storytelling. The career mode is basically just beating the next character after another one to rise in the rankings. It is fun but lacks a lot of elements that are in better WWE competitors.

The multiplayer mode works somewhat well. For some people, it does not seem to work or is extremely bug-ridden. On the other hand, it does work at times, allowing you to play with your friends. Overall, it is not probably going to be where you get the majority of the experience from.

Other variations and competitors

Wrestling Revolution 3D is a potential option for play. It falls short in graphics comparatively. Also, it isn’t an actual WWE game which means, if you come to Revolution looking for that you will be severely disappointed.

WWE Mayhem is another strong competitor. With a different style of play and setting, it has much more variety than 2k. Also with this one, it is constantly being updated meaning all your favorite superstars will be available for play including the Divas.

Aging game that still has a place

WWE 2K isn’t going to get any newer. As it fades into the horizon, it still is a fun experience, so if you like a bit of mobile wrestling, you should check it out. The system isn’t completely out of date, but don’t expect any support.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
